Automated Environmental was founded in 2022 with one conviction: environmental compliance should be affordable, accessible and fast. We got there by pairing regulator experience with software we build ourselves.

Managing Principal
Chris Ford.
Chris brings over 16 years of environmental consulting experience across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and the Pacific, specialising in contaminated land management and environmental risk assessment — for clients ranging from small developments to large industrial operations in property, manufacturing and waste.
He knows how the regulator thinks because he's worked there: before Automated Environmental, Chris was with EPA Victoria, seeing regulatory processes and compliance frameworks from the inside. He has also provided technical support to multiple EPA-appointed environmental auditors.
Originally from New Zealand, Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management (Honours) from the University of Otago. His mission is the company's mission: making compliance accessible, so organisations of any size can meet their obligations while protecting human health and the environment.

Clients get online portals, dashboards and remote monitoring — your environmental data, accessible from anywhere, with full visibility of where your compliance stands. And your data is kept in Australia: held onshore, under our control, and never used to train AI models.
